The Vanguard WirelessHART® gas detector with 5-year battery life is ideal for monitoring toxic and combustible gases without the need for costly, fixed wiring.
High quality and high reliability
Toxic gas detectors and pressure and temperature instrumentation manufactured by United Electric Controls (UE) and Applied Sensor Technologies have supported power industry operations for many years. You will find UE products monitoring the temperature of a turbine exhaust, controlling the heater on a precipitator hopper, providing input to a natural gas flow computer, or monitoring the heat in HRSG or boiler tubes.
The Vanguard WirelessHART® gas detector is ideal for reliably monitoring toxic and combustible gases without time-consuming installation, production disruption, or high maintenance cost. The wireless combustible and toxic gas detector is the only safety solution that offers 5-year battery life. Plug-and-play installation, one-button calibration, and self-configuration make it the easiest wireless combustible and toxic gas detector to operate and maintain in power industry applications.
Many times, it is not feasible to wire a temperature sensor directly into the control system due to distance or signal quality. UE temperature transmitters are an ideal choice to convert the sensor’s output signal to a reliable 4-20 mA or HART ® protocol. Designed to fit into one of our many terminal head variations, the UNI5 transmitter line offers reliability and value.
From the bearings to the boiler, field-proven thermocouples and RTDs manufactured by Applied Sensor Technologies are designed for reliability and durability. These sensors are ideal for gas turbine exhaust, heat tracing systems, gas flow computers, and cooling water outflow. Our Lean Manufacturing and Lean Enterprise philosophies help create maximum value in everything we do.

The Sensor Box™
A flexible, cost-effective program designed for power plant applications, the Sensor Box™ contains parts that allow the construction of a variety of assemblies. If a temperature sensor fails in the field, a replacement is readily available with the Sensor Box. It’s useful not only for emergency situations, but also during outages where timing is critical and requirements may not be known until the last minute.
Applied Sensor Technologies offers a wide variety of standard assemblies, but some needs are unique. Call us if you have a challenge or can’t find a standard product that fits your requirements. We can build the perfect sensor for you.
The One Series electronic pressure and temperature transmitter-switches set the standard for smart digital process monitoring.
Industrial temperature sensors, thermocouples, resistance temperature sensors (RTD’s), thermistor and other types of sensor assemblies
Explosion-proof, hermetically sealed and approved for use in hazardous locations worldwide where explosive or corrosive atmospheres exist
The Sensor Box™ can be your solution to expediting, high inventory and expensive downtime. By combining common parts into a modular system, a relatively small amount of stock can translate into the variety you need – quickly, and without expediting.
