Electronic Switch Adds Low Differential Pressure Range

Watertown, MA — April 4, 2011 — United Electric Controls (UE) recently introduced a low differential pressure range for their popular One Series electronic/solid-state switch product line – 0 to 140 inches of water column. The new K10 differential pressure range allows the One Series digital switch to be used in applications where high repeatability and frequent cycling are inherent, including pump staging, filter backwash systems and flow monitoring. “With this all 316L stainless wet/wet differential pressure range, the One Series can now achieve suitable lower set points with greater accuracy and 0.1% repeatability”, stated Rick Frauton, UE’s product manager for electronic products.

The One Series programmable switch, digital display and 4-20 mA output provides the functionality of a switch, gauge and transmitter, ideal for process trending and predictive maintenance monitoring. With all stainless welded construction, the explosion-proof and intrinsically safe One Series K10 sensor provides a rugged and reliable low differential pressure measurement in harsh and hazardous areas that is suitable for SIL 2 safety instrumented systems.

The One Series electronic switch is available with gage, differential pressure or temperature sensors and carries multiple approvals for use anywhere in the world. Power options include 2-wire, loop power, 24 VDC and 120 VAC, making the One Series ideal for plant upgrades and new construction projects. Some models include two solid-state relays and 4-20 mA analog outputs. All One Series models are self-diagnostic and include Plug Port technology.
