NEW STAINLESS STEEL TRANSMITTER FOR HARSH ENVIRONMENTS

Watertown, MA - United Electric Controls Company announces the new TX200 pressure transmitter, carrying worldwide agency approvals for installation in hazardous locations. The TX200 offers compact, all-welded 316 stainless steel construction, matching the requirements of process, utility, oil and gas industries. The airtight and watertight design is ideal for offshore platforms and applications such as well-head monitoring, blow-out preventers, instrument panels and safety systems. A selection of ranges cover 0 to 24,000 psi /1650 bar, with accuracy of 0.25% and repeatability of 0.1%.

The TX200 transmitter uses durable and reliable bonded foil strain gauge technology, producing a choice of 4-20 mA or 1-5 VDC output signal. The design assures suitability for ultra high pressures, heavy cycling, shock and vibration. The model A may be calibrated in place via non-interactive zero and span adjustments, with a 5 to 1 turndown range. The Model B has fixed ranges, providing a cost-effective solution to a broad range of pressure monitoring applications.

Agency certifications for hazardous service for the TX200 include cUL for North America, Demko A/S certification to ATEX directive 94/9 EC for Europe, and CE-Compliance to PED. The TX200 transmitter joins the family of UE’s rugged stainless steel pressure switches and submersible transducers, to provide maximum corrosion and environmental protection, and the piece of mind of agency testing and certification for hazardous locations, worldwide.
