UE's One Series Selected for World's Largest Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant

Watertown, MA -

United Electric Controls' One Series digital instrumentation was chosen by DC Water to monitor pressure and temperature at Blue Plains, the world's largest advanced wastewater treatment plant in Washington, D.C., USA. The One Series was field proven-in-use for months at this facility and determined to be robust and reliable by the plant maintenance department, leading to DC Water's choice of the One Series for this new ENRF (enriched nitrogen removal facility) project.

DC Water, a pioneer in advanced anaerobic digester technology, is adding a new facility to remove excess nitrogen from the existing Blue Plains wastewater treatment plant discharge. The Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant has taken a commanding role in improving the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay, and their watersheds.

United Electric Controls (UE), and its divisions, Applied Sensor Technologies and Precision Sensors, is a privately held corporation headquartered in Watertown, Massachusetts, USA. UE is an international manufacturer of durable and reliable pressure and temperature instrumentation and sensors.
